If you have linux (or have access to a linux box), you can ask to search for the meaning of an abbreviation. Theres a command (at least, in the Slackware distribution), which is called wtf that does that. For example if you type:

lmao: Laughing my ass off
bilange@System8:~$

(For those interested, you can also write wtf is [abbrevation], it sounds more natural like this )
The most funny abbreviation imo is UTSL, which means 'use the source, luke.'
