sorry, as much as i love the Leafs, I don't think they have the co-ordination between eachother and defense to go all the way. Just look at the way Detroit schooled them.
Stanley Cup final is the absolute furthest they can go. I'm still tryin to figure out whether getting Gilmour was a good thing or a bad thing...he's not the same great player he was back in '93 or whenever.

I agree the Leafs will still have their hands full but you can't judge a team by one game. NJ lost to Atlanta tonight and that doesn't mean a thing. It's all about stepping your game to the next level and the only teams that have shown they're capable of that in the East are NJ & T-Dot.

This year's team is a little different. I highly doubt Detroit will have as easy a time with them now.

It costed the Leafs virtually nothing to get him back. Apparently 6 teams in total were interested in Douggie. Big up to Montreal for giving Gilmour his wish of coming back to Toronto and moving him to a team where he will have a chance for the Stanley cup during the twilight of his career.

tru, but we all know the Leafs are a totally different team when playoffs come. I'm not too worried about Detroit this year really. Nothing I like better than to stick it to that wanker Cujo (I never liked him since he bounced by boy Felix Potvin)

Even though I'm not really a hockey fan, GO LEAFS! I'd say GO FLAMES but they suck.

i think the point of the list is to show that there has been total domination by the bigger, stronger west since 1996, so that makes it a very convincing argument that the west has been better... but not anymore, hehehehe... GO LEAFS GO!!
DOUGIE! DOUGIE!! i can't wait to go to a game and start chanting that!!! whooo hooo!
its now or never... we traded away youth for geezers... gilmour and housley are on their last legs, haha... we're gonna take the cup back where it belongs this year... everyone get ready for a wild playoff run, =P.

its ironic that cujo left toronto to play for a contender, while the leafs have now built themselves into one of the strongest contenders in the league... no hard feelings though... its so hard to hate cujo.. he's a great guy... it would be awesome to meet detroit in the finals... nothing would be better than to beat the traitor, brett hull.
either way, the top teams in the east are grittier than ever... its gonna make for an intense playoffs... i hope we see another dallas vs. edmonton series.. those are always great..

the funniest (and saddest) thing in the world will be when the Senators meet the Leafs in the playoffs, which is almost inevitable. The Leafs eliminated the Sens every single time, which was like 4 times now, wasn't it? LOL, if this happens again this year...LOL, getting eliminated by the same team 5 years in a row; Ottawa will really hate us then...and the players will probably go postal following the game.

Listen, i love the city of toronto. And i would love to see the leafs win a cup. It wont happen though. Doug Gilmore- please he sucks. You guys are near buffalo, did you ever see him play for the sabers? hes way to old. New Jersey devils are going to the cup. I am not sure if they will win but they will beat the leafs in 5 games for the confrence championship. go devils!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
