exactly. here in los angeles (around where i live anyway) if u ever stood on a street and counted (i'm sure u have better things to do, tho ) how many female SUV drivers there were as opposed to how many male drivers there were, i'm pretty sure u'd find that abt 65-70% of the drivers are women

SUVs kinda suck... Of all the SUVs I tried, perhaps the only one that I test drived and came close to feeling fast and solid was Infiniti FX45... It eats Ms and X5s alive, but it still feels a bit "shakey" compaired to a normal car.. If I had the money to waste, and already a nice sedan or a sport car, I would of gotten a luxurious SUV as a second car... Otherwise, it's such a waste ;(

Satan (eek!)

Here are some interesting anti-SUV websites, with bumper stickers you can tag on unsuspecting SUVs.

I know.....here in the South why do you need a Hummer H2 to go grocery shopping??????

I can understand where it snows a lot that it would be helpful....

[edit]I think that a truck might actually be better in the snow, especially a 4X4 one, and they are less prone to flipping over.....
My Aunt almost died in a jeep grand cherokee roll over, but luckily she was wearing her seatbelt and the roof didn't cave in (not trying to scare you Erin).[/edit]

There's always this SUV attitude that people automatically adopt when they get into the driver seat. They don't have to obey the rules of the road because they're driving an SUV.

I feel most of the people driving them are either teenagers who think they're cool because they're driving a big vehicle that isn't a mini-van, or they're people suffering from mid-life crisis' but cant afford an expensive sports car

I honestly can't see the advantage of them. I mean if you need the hauling power, then they come in handy but 99% of people who drive them are riding in them by themselves going downtown to work everyday.

Especially with the gas prices absolutely soaring lately, I can't see why people would want to own one.

I know it sounds crazy, but I'm hoping they stay a lil high....
But now since the US will "own" Iraq, I guess they won't.

right. and i bet most of them have kids. im all for suv's. like i said before...i would get one any day over a van or a minivan. i still like to go out and have fun even though i got kids and i think pulling up to a hype club in a minivan aint all that lol... and i think its pretty equal the drivers...who cares who drives them men vs women....

SUVs are a status symbol, although i do like the Navigators and Escalades and 'burbans. But SUVs arent great, theyre just popular for some reason. They roll over, they suck gas and really dont have all that much more space than a car really. i like my little integra and its agility/speed/stability/fuel consumption. SUVs arent that great in snow either, so why drive them at all, trucks are much better in snow and less prone to tip over...

no, men don't buy SUV's to overcompensate. They buy Corvettes.

lol, highers better? lowers better. So women "feel" more secure in a higher vehicle but are actually less secure...tall building versus small building.
