War sucks.
It's always the innocents who suffer.
However, now that it has started, it must be executed swiftly, to pave the way for humanitarian aid.
Saddam is a crook, it seems the only way to get him out is war.
There's not a chance that the U.S. will turn militarily against Iran in the near future. The country is in the midst of change, however slow. Don't be fooled into thinking that Iran represents any considerable beacon for Islam either. The people who run the country learned all of their oppressive tricks from the Shah, and have no accountability. Some of the hopeful revolutionaries have become disillusioned.
The US is encircling their next opponent in terms of superpower capability, the PROC. The strategy worked against the USSR, and they're gambling it will in the next fifty years.
Having said all that, I don't believe in killing for any abstraction such as a country or ideology (even the idea of democracy). I would only ever kill someone in self-defense, not to further the mechanistic, dehumanizing cause of warfare.

one thing I don't get is how topic of this thread is bias in it's opinion. No there have not been any actual proof that US presented I agree, but the fact that Sadam experements on his own people with biological weapons (FACT), how he tortures and kills his own people (FACT), all the defected scientists from Iraq that worked for Sadam claim that he has weapons of mass destruction (FACT), Sadam uses money from intrentaional aid to build more of his palaces instead of giving money and supplies to his people in need (FACT)!
Sadam claimed he never head any weapons in '93 the inspectors found many things suggesting that it's not true, but they were not allowed to view some of the bases where these weapons were stored. Later he said well yeah we did have weapons but we destroyed them. And the whole thing repeats it self over and over again. They say he has something he says he does not, and later it turns out that he is lying and he goes on to say, well we don't have any more of it left.
I am gonna open up your eyes, the only reason France is boycoting this whole thing is because they have construction (as in building new structures and buildings) contracts in Iraq, as well as the Oil contracts, and they are affraid that if the governmet regime changes they will loose all those contracts.
Russia on the other hand is boycoting this thing because Sadam owes Russia Billions of US dollars for the weapons that Russia supplied to Iraq in the last 20 years. And if Sadam is dead, there is no one to pay off that debt.
I agree every war sucks, and inocent people will always died, but that is the same in every war. It may seem like it is illegal that US is invading IRAQ with out much actuall evidence, to back them up. But where were all these protesters in '92 when Iraq was last invaded by US??????? No one did a god damn thing!!!
How can a guy like Fidel Castro or Stalin or Hitler be a good thing? Well how is Sadam than? All of them killed their own people! All of them had weapons! All of them lied about a lot of things! They were all control freaks!
I am not saying anyone is wrong or right here, US has done some horrible things, but I believe that Sadam has to be removed from the control of Iraq even though this is going to benefit the US more.
Just my opinion, don't agree with it oh well live with it!
if you want to argue with me over this be my guest, but please do so in the "PM" STYLE!
