dude, he did it live, twice... and it kinda pumped up the bass of the vinyl a bit...
and no it wasn't sweat...

i wouldn't recommend doing this at all because styli are generally made from very soft steel and WILL RUST. so if you do this they will be physically scratching the grooves of your records clean, you destroy a vinyl every time you play it, rusty styli aint gonna help, especially if you pay a lot for em

i dont know about throwing water on it live, sometimes before i mix, i take a soft paper towel and wet it a little, and run it over the vinyl to take off extra dust, but throwing water on it while you are playing is dumb, what if the water gets into the turntabel or on teh mixer and fucks it up, haha

Problably those stupid dj's don't care for the vinyls they are playing on, and was thinking of throwing them into the garbage bag anyway. And please don't use normal water on the vinyls it contains chemicals that will eat it up.
