After sleeping on this, I thought of an alternate solution:
1. Combine 7 buns, 1 shrivelled bun, and 8 hot dogs in a large bowl.
2. Add 3 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, and 1 tsp vinegar.
3. Mix thoroughly, then transfer to blender. Purée until smooth.
4. Transfer to large pot. Bring to a simmer on medium high.
5. Remove pot from heat. Allow to cool 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
6. Transfer to mouth, or if you prefer, to garbage can.
