well a few years ago when i started to get into it i put a dance music radio station on while i was grabbing a lift to the station from my dad, he left it on while he continued to work and came home and said he like it, after that he started buying al lthe tunes from the local record shop on CD, then when i got into mixing he got into the music heavily he buys alot of records also, hes a part of the Dance-Paradise community some might know him 'merkinmick' or merk well thats mmy dad hes like 53 years old. hehe

just ask the other Aussie TA's as he has a rep lol he came with us to last years Godskitchen and Ministry of sound here in Sydney and recenlty Nick Warren on the weekened, he is also coming to Paul van Dyk this weekend, he loves it lol!

then there is my mum, she site on the lounge trying to read or watch tv while dad sits on the near by computer ripping vinyl or playing tracks loud, she ends up telling him its too loud and going to bed lol! but she doesnt mind it.

Well my father doesn't really like it, but definitely respects it.

Momz on the other hand, used to be a music teacher and she also says that "repetetive" shit.

On the other hand my grandmother was really interested in what exactly i do with my turntables. It was very cool explainin to her what a trainwreck is, how exactly i mix, etc.

My mom absolutely hates it. Rarely will she ever jive a bit to the melody. Well,my sister likes some of it.But she ain't like an addict or something. my 1.5 year old brother likes it though Whenever I hav eheadphones on,he'll just pull'em off and try to listen. This kid is phenomenal

My dad makes fun of me for hearing trance (sometimes he asks me if I'm destroying my walls with a hammer), but my mum likes some tunes, especially the vocal ones, like The Morrighan - Remember (To The Millenium) (Lange Mix), or Southern Sun (Tiësto - good taste she has ).

My parents got used to the music i listened to. My mom can get annoyed by some of the stuff i play (gasp! she hates prog :eek, but as for the soft, uplfiting sort of trance (which i hardly listen to nowadays) she seems to like it. My dad is different though, I caught him playing one of my drum and bass CD's that i left in the car...
