I agree, in that the quality of Ferry's productions have disintergrated, on the other hand he hasn't come out with that many new productions !

Besides, this thread isn't about Tiesto...

your an idiot adn your not going to last very long round here with all these stupid comments and threads.

for everyone who dosent know, this tiesto basher said was the idiot that made up that story about cor f & tiesto that currently hanging around music discussion.

quote:

Tiesto did the remix of "Southern sun" for Oakenfold and he really liked the track. Now he thinks of making something similar. I dont know what was the reason why he didnt do it, but he tell his good friend Cor Fijneman to do something similar to this song and he may get the popularity he deserves. He said to him "Call some popular singer(Jan Johnston in the situation) and make something simillar. I will remix it and u will get some hit and get into the mainstream".

and how can you say he isnt a good producer/dj?

He sold more of his own artist album then any other trance producer.
his singles are all unique/different and do very well in the charts
every album tracks he made has been released / remixed apart from dallas 4pm. no-one else has an album as diverse and capable as that.
the magik series was by far the most popular series ever.
magik 6 is the second biggest selling mix comp ever to oakenfolds tranceport.
he was voted the number 1 dj in the world, and to get that i think you have to be good at producing aswell.

Agreed - the System F album was kinda naff... but if I remember correctly Ferry said in an interview that his Ferry Corsten album will have more experimentation and not only trance - I'm really looking forward to it.

Ferry = Awesome. All the time. Dont bother flaming, I'll not listen.

4x4 - 'Indigo' sends me insane, amazing tune
Sub Sola - 'So Pure' (Ferry Corsten remix) wicked
Moby - 'In my heart' (Ferry Corsten remix) Also wicked.

I'm a Ferry addict, what can I say

I liked the Subsola remix pretty much, I liked the Moby remix a lot, the System F album (Toghether) ... I ahted most tracks, but they were only intended for the Japanese audience, I guess the Tsunami guys knew what they were doing (System F - Toghether is a powerful track though, kind of sounds like Out of the Blue 2003 ), Ligaya was great IMO.

I admit Ferry has had a kind of a downfall in 2002, even in relation to other Uplifting producers, he might get his glory back with the new album, as he promised it would be more inovative -
He proved he can do it with Eon - Pocket Damage and with Ransom - My Dance (Ferry Corsten remix), as well as with Indigo and Punk which will be included.

P.S. I lurve Indigo

Ferry's produced tracks are getting more and more experimental.. ever since I heard needlejuice and that terrible remix that's the last track (soul on soul?) on Global Trancemissions I haven't been sure how I felt about where Ferry was going with his music..

but i saw him over new years and he still spun a set with all that dope ass uplifting melodic trance I love, so as long as he's still spinning dope trance sets, he can do whatever he wants as far as I'm concerned...

As for the Tiesto/Ferry/Gouryella argument, if you listen to Gouryella, Walhalla, and Tenshi, you can tell that Ligaya is definitely missing something.

As for Ferry's productions, I've liked a couple of his recent ones, like Solstice, but most of the new System F stuff is too cheesy for my tastes.
