the music he plays isnt cheap techno, its called Drum Trax . . .tracks consisted of non stop beats and basssssss. . . .I love it. |
Those non stop "drum tracks" you're talking about are as far as I know called locked grooves(good examples are Ars Larson - Shot Toolz EP or the LP of Speedy J's album Loudboxer). And the techno Rush played when I saw him did not sound like any of the locked grooves I have ever heard so far.It sounded like hard as fuck-schranz,with bass, beats and pretty much nothing else.I'll agree that it has an immense impact on a loud system, but musically speaking the tunes he played are probably the most simplistic techno tunes I've heard in my life,I've heard locked grooves that sounded less monotonous than some of the things he played. Placing a different name tag on these type of records does not disguise the fact that they are incredibly simplistic and cheap(listen to Square - Unknown Synthetic. You tell me it doesn't sound simple and cheap),and without the help of a big ass sound system(on which they have a huge impact,I'll agree),they would probably bore tha fuck out of many ppl.
*edit:never mind
