Ben Thompson was great, he's a great guy too, tho some ppl dont get him, he had almost total control over bookings & everything, Raine just paid him to do the job, but Raine has a short fuse, and its thought they argued.

GC used to be the place everyone wanted to play, now its just a random club, like thousands of others, and the ppl on the gc forum can be twats, basically they complain about stuff and djs dont get booked & the whole atmosphere is shitty cos they argue over forum topics etc.

GC is being overtaken in ideas by slinky passion & godskitchen, all of whom run succesful nights weekly not monthly.

Yes it could be the end, but noone knows yet for sure,

I can totally agree with that, but there are people who don't think Crasher is as good as other clubs anyway now, its all opinions though. Lineup wise they seem to be lacking, and have 4 or 5 same djs every time, which gives little fun for people paying money to see the same guys over & over imo

When I was over in the UK last year. IU was primed to go to gate crasher but upon arrivl and shit it just didn't seem as large and it was going monthly and slinky in Bristol was shuttting and the whole scene seemed to be fading away.

The passion left cause the same guys each week and people were bored at least in our scene in melb it changes week to week month to month I mean weekly clubs just aren't working as well anymore because consumers are more discerning these days and want/need variety prolly the reason the genres have cross over crowds too...

Damn I hope not, it'd be a shame to have a whole tonne of people bitching about how "back in the days of GateCrasher everything was so much better, ..." without ever having been able to personaly get there and see it for myself.
