Thumbs up

I have stanton str8-100s.....and they're more than good enough for anything you're going to do. I personally like them better than the technics...they have more features, they have plenty of torque, they are cheaper (you can find a new set of str8-100s really cheap on ebay right now...), not to mention those blue LEDs look really cool...haha.

Also I do a lot of scratching, so the straight arm is good. The thing never skips...and I have barely any weight on it.

I probably wouldn't get the str8-80 or anything below though...not much torque. just the 90's or 100's.

Hope that helps.

The gemini PT-2100 is a good midclass starter if you ask me. The price/quality of this TT is good.

check out the new gemini pdt-6000 they run about $300 and there specs (wow&flutter gemini=.01 technics=.02) and torque (gemini=3.0kg/cm) are considerably better then the 1200's plus they have some amazing features that would really trick out a mix check out my post about the gems vs the technics and see what peeps are saying (if they've responded yet)

also if you order from pssl.com the pt-2400 and pt-2100 are the same price as the new pdt-6000 so you might as well go for the pdt-6000 if you decide to go with gemini.

i also have a turntable question
i have stanton str8 60's and had them for not a year yet

but one of the plates is a bit wonky and im guessing the middle pointy thing( sorry about lack of terminology) is a bit bent

does ne one knoe how to straighten this or make the plate spin more horizontally and less wonky as it sometimes skips and can be a bit annoying

cheers

ok, so you took off the pladder though? does everything seem right there?

i would be hesistant to take a hammer to it, because that will void your warranty if you have one. take it to a place like sam ash to be looked at...

good luck w/ that!
