DO NOT PURCHASE SONY MDR V700DJ, 'cause now that you've had Pioneer HDJ1000 with highest quality, going to 700DJ by Sony will make them sound like a POS that they are.and they won't be comfortable at all.

When I got my pair of Pioneer HDJ1000, got them as soon as they came out on the market, I thought I'd keep my Sony 700DJ as a backup, two days later I was too lazy to go to my car and get my equipmnent bag out with my Pioneer headphones, so I used my now backup Sony 700 pair, only lasted on my head for one track, I ran to my car and got my babies(Pioneer headphones) out and it was like a sigh of relief, week later I sold those damn Sony 700s, 'cause I felt exactly was I described above.. Good Luck!!!

haha "Pioneer are the only headphones onthe market that have replacable cord????

1. get educated
2. sennheiser hd25 (not hd25sp)

you can replace every part on the the hd25, sound is alot better than the sony or the pionneers (IMOP), and very light and comforable. Oh they might not look like they can isolation sound too well, but they do, and way better than the sony or pioneers.

AMEN! For the DJ on the edge, not quite wanting a pair of studio headphones, but pissed off with most overpriced traditional DJ headphones, the HD25's are an awesome choice!

The right earphone was cutting out,,, and to be perfectly honest... I take good care of my equipment. To make a long story short,,, when I ordered my headphones with a friend,,, he kept the receipt. He's been avoiding my calls for 4 days now,,, so knowing that the place we ordered them from wouldn't fix them or exchange them without the receipt... I decided to try and fix it myself. BIG MISTAKE. Anways... after taking my headphones apart,,, I noticed that the wire leading the earphone was wearing out in several places

So... I'm going to have to have my entire headphones re-wired now,,, and I've decided to buy another pair of Sony 700's for the time being.

Why not get some Sennheisers? HD280 or HD25...

Because I play every week and I didn't have time too look into those models. I picked up the Sony 700 for $200 CDN which is a good deal I suppose. Although,,, I'm deffinetly going to look in to those models in the future. Thanks =)

Just another complaint to make.

When i shop for tunes on the internet, i use these. after a while my ears get really really sore. they just don't seem to sit right. I can't imagine this is what you would want if playing a dj set.

HD 280 Pro Silver!

Alright!! It looks like Sennheiser finally came out with a "DJ" version of the HD280 Pro's... kickass... the only difference that I can tell is that they are marketing them as DJ headphones... and they are Silver! WOohoo!! (posting this to all the headphone threads...)
