i'm surprised no one mentioned this, and i could be way off base here, but...

the fact that you guys never had sex (after dating for 2 months) made me think... at first you said she knew about your "medical condition". then later you said your ex-girlfriend gave you an eternal gift, herpes. if you told the latest girl about this, she may have been all cool about it but deep down it scared the fuck out of her. hence why she didn't think you were "flawless". maybe she didn't feel passionate enough about you or the relationship to really try to make things work. as for the girl saying she cares for you, and she wants to still talk to you, i HIGHLY advise against this (at least for now). some girls tend to be manipulative psycho bitches (i know - i used to be one), and she might be keeping you around for the wrong reasons; to make herself feel better, to have someone as a "backup" plan, etc... if you want to remain friends with her, give it time. get over your pain, become a stronger person, and then decide what is best.

We talked before our about our partners...I told her I had one partner in my entire lifetime and she gave me the disease. She looked past the disease and appreciated my low experience. She told me was looking for a guy with low level of partners as her. Sad because I told her I went to the doctor last month to finish my year therapy and he told me after a year suppression it was like a less than 1percent chance of it ever coming back. She was happy for me...she looked beyond it. Fact is when I told her, we grew closer because I told her in the first week or so. Us both were about to get engage sexually at one point but we decided to slow it down a bit.

this is one of the first things i thought of as well....just didn't say it. i'm sure the herpes was a problem...i mean...it would be for me.

other than that...i agree with Theresa in that you were getting too seriuos too fast...i think its a combo of the twoo...

In fact when I told her, first thing she did was give me a hug. I explained to her my only partner and how she screwed me over.I talked to her about my doctor and his less than 1percent risk factor. She even cried at one point because she felt I was done wrong, and promised to be with me. In fact she and I already discussed about sexual relations...we were just waiting for the right moment. I agree with the latter, Ummm Sometimes I would be in my dorm and she would suddenly show up and caught me off gaurd...it was shit like this that gave me a mixed signal as well.
