thx patticus
you are a wise guy
first i was thinking of making a mix of avb
but i dont have all his songs i want to use, some of them arent released yet.
but then i thought that almost everyone knows him and his songs, so i went with james holden, less known as avb, but as good as armin i think.
cheers

i know i raised this in the last compo, but isn't it a bit premature to start saying that you (judges) already have in mind who's going to win? i mean, you have to listen to all entries....you can't favour for _any_ reason....
the way it was done last time was quite fair, and thus I'd encourage the judges to take their time judging the mixes...this way nothing's rushed and everyone's happy.
...just a bit (more) of healthy paranoia...

seeing as were marking out of 25, and there 4 judges, when we give the marks back so the competitors see where they go wrong, why dont we add up the scores from each judge on that particular skill, so we get a mark out of 100, ie a percentage! then the personal choice awards we dont really need to give out because thats really down to us how we liek the set and not a reflection of the DJ's overall skill (but this doesnt mater really my proposal still works).
then we can avarage this percentage (including the personal mark) to get the competitors overall mark in the compo then rank them in order of overall percentage score.
here an example of what i mean (this might come out looking wierd)
OK, after 15 minutes looking at it, i finally seem to get it.
In stead of every judge giving every competitot a FINAL score (wich he achieves adding up his four marks out of 25), you suggest judges DON'T add up their scores, and we use that 'thing' you drew on every contestant ?? i Seem to get yer point.
PS. If I'm totally off on this, please correct me
in fact it's the same scoring system. We calculated it like this in the last compo, but we only did that for 'indication' purposes, and we sorted them out using every judges total score. Now you want to sort them out using the socres on every 'subcategory'
