I pretty much agree with everything you've said here, with one big difference: I don't think this approach detracts from the flow of the set (an exception to this is the transition into Lotus Position, where, in hindsight, I agree that the phrasing issue is a bit too apparent). Like you said, the tracks I picked are powerful enough on their own, and therefore it I didn't deem it necessary to set up the transitions more intricately for this particular set than what I did. It's quite the departure from how I normally approach ambient mixes, and that was exactly what I was aiming for.
