have you ever played hockey russel? because i played hockey for 12 years and football for 7. Football doesn't even come close...and i say this from the perspective of a guy that has gotten concussions playing football. One year, a guy in our hockey league was killed, and another one paralyzed....at 15 years old.

No, I've never played hockey. I'm not trying to take away from hockey either, as I've always thought that hockey players were probably the toughest of any professional sport, but at what ages did you play football? The gap even between college and the NFL is massive. The speed and size of the players is just ridiculous in the NFL. Also, being on skates makes things less dangerous imo. Someone getting cut by a skate is very rare, and having a foot planted in the ground with spikes makes it much more likely to sustain massive knee injuries. I'd post some videos, but they're pretty fucking disgusting. I could me wrong, but I would guess that running puts more wear and tear on knees/ankles than skating does too.
