If I was entering an American Pharmacy I wouldn't be stupid enough to ask for a proprietary product like Panadol either, it's the American's inability to deal with anything from "outside" that's amusing.
Also, the names "paracetamol" and "acetaminophen" are equally abundant. Neither are trade names.

well, my point is- why would you expect americans to know that in the first place, when it's quite obvious that americans call it acetaminophen? i wouldn't expect you to know what a "barbeque" is, now, would i? i'd go right up to the hardware store and ask for a god damned barbie if was in aussie, aye mate?
