you have a point, but the problem is that judging becomes very subjective then.. for instance, you could have made a storming progressive remix, but a judge doesn't give you much points because he isn't into progressive at all.. the idea with the actual judging scheme was to be as objective as possible.. there is a category for originality/creativity, because obviously there's more to a track than just technical details, but the points that are awarded for that are fairly limited, so that a judge wouldn't rate a track completely according to his personal preferences..
