because of the error by wright. the runs are not earned in that instance. vizquel does not score assuming that wright makes the throw for the final out. the person that got on base for bonds' HR is also unearned because he reaches on an error. i'm sure bonds' run isn't earned either

Which is why, when I look at pitcher's stats, it's much better to look at WHIP than ERA. Wagner still gave up a homerun to Bonds. But because the error would've been the 3rd out, ALL runs after that would be unearned. Which is ridiculous.
