Here is an idea; stop posting here without reading the entire thread first. You're all just repeating whats already posted here. Just keep doing what the tradition is. Let the thread die and then make a new one in a couple of weeks. And then repeat what is already posted here. Yes, that makes sense.

Ah.. Gatecreasher Wet. Those were the good days! I actually got Scott Bond to sign my GC Wet vinyl while he was in town a couple weeks ago.

GC Wet. Summer 1999 hilights:
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster (Signum Remix)
Lustral - Everytime (Mike Koglin Remix)
Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (En Motion Mix)
Skyscraper - The Hymn (Mea Culpa Mix)
Blank & Jones - Cream (one of their only great tracks!)
Mea Culpa - The Child
Salt Tank - Pueblo Blanco (aka Leaving Town)
Chicane - Saltwater (Tomski vs Disco Citizens Remix)
Armin - Communication
Ron Hagen & Pascal M. - Take You There
Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday
Olmecheads - Spiritualized
Mauro Picotto - Pulsar (Picotto Tea Mix)

No wonder people went crazy for Trance then.

Yes too much stuff has had to be said over and over. If you are one of the people who thinks the new trance is superb that's great. But as I said: When the hell are some people going to realize that just because you got Armin's new cd/radio show episode/track and love it and pump it loud and dance around your room and think it's the best ever does NOT mean that the trance scene is doing great!

I don't really care how the trance scene is in your room or how much you love ASOT, I care about the fact that trance is a bad word now more than it ever has been. The fact that trance nights are dropping like flies. The fact that I can't get anyone I know to come with me to check out the once in a blue moon trance event EVEN with me having guestlist for us. The fact that trance just does not get respect/support from so many people compared to how it was a few years ago.

I lost interest in 98% of the current productions and am nothing but excited about all the prog/breaks/electro I've been finding and playing since the shift since those styles are doing better than ever.

However, that doesn't change the fact that trance has been a huge part of my life and given me the most amazing experiences whether it was playing it for thousands of people, or enjoying it with a big crowd of people listening to someone else play. I have taken a lot from trance over the years. Having been around to experience it all right up in the driver's seat from 1995 through til now.. I've seen what's gone on and I'm just not okay with sitting back watching it anymore.

If you really like the music and maybe turn into a DJ one day, are you going to want a place to play at aside from your bedroom?

yes.. and leave behind the huge crowd that actually loved & supported trance back then and weren't bored to death of it as well! Who needs em'. Who needs any place to go hear trance aside from your bedroom, car, or a trip to europe right?

there are 2 sides to the coin which are both crucial.

#1 the quality/magic etc of trance productions

#2 how well/stable/healthy the scene is doing and it's standing with the public

even if you think the first is not an issue because you either don't know any better or because you just happen to like where trance is at currently, there is still the second side which is going to dictate whether or not you'll be able to enjoy trance outside your own house/car or whether or not you'll have places to hope to play at if you become/are a DJ.

Indeed Sail is NOT a track which I would play in my car. Is OK, but nothing more than that. For sure not a favourite.

But Armin van Buuren feat. Racoon - Love you more is great.

So a small quiz question: In which classic trance track almost the same sample is used? (Or from which track did Armin borrow it?)

The sample is not exactly the same, but no doubt the sample comes from the classic track.

LOL I thought it was almost worse than Sail. The vocals makes my ears bleed. And yeah it's pretty obvious that the melody is a lame copy off Paul van Dyk - For an angel.

NEMESIS needs to get his head out of his ass and get out of fucking 1999.

its 2006 now.

So deal with it. Don't complain that trance is dead cause it ISNT.

So stfu please and go get a life.

And I'm sorry of the track SAIL doesnt touch you guys the same way it does to me, but i find it to be a rockin track becasue it touches ME and take me to a differnt place. And honestly I think Armin's Communication was a horrible track.

and stfu about Scott Bond please. it was ONE time. damn. and u go all crazy over it. Tahts not even a valid point considering it was ONE show. You make it seem like the whole fucking world was supposed to be there.

Trance isnt dead. and won't be for a while. So stop arguing.

The only thing funny about that is that it has fuck all to do with anything.

Nice try, though.

what makes you think that was a joke? You need to pull your head out of your ass and look at yourself before you call someone else's form of expression "shit".

I also agree with that too. People express themselvs through music. If you dont like it, then dont listne to it. Just please don't complain about how trance isnt as good as it used to be. People produce what they feel and if that isnt good enough for you then stop complaining and go make your own music.
