2-0 vs. Real Salt Lake or whatever...
Kinda boring match that left me with a few doubts about the defense...
We certainly need another centre-back... Helguera is almost out of Real, his destiny most likely Valencia. And Sergio Ramos is looking more and more like the right side defender Capello wants for our squad which means we will need to fill that void, I hope we can nail Mexes from Rome.
Still uncertain about the so called Raul's role for our team, I don't like him, he should quit this team and in my mind Capello is making the very first mistake by trying to keep Raul on this team, he's got no place whatsoever, I rather see Guti on than Raul if that's the way it's gonna be.
Emerson hasn't got the appropiate partner yet, let's hope we can sign Diarra and be done with it. Although I admit Javi Garcia is looking very promising and he's earning his stay with the first team.
Having watched Cassano and Robinho yesterday, and with the possible signing of Reyes, we are gonna gain a lot more depth in the left wing... Juanfran only played like 7 minutes and he drove completely nuts the entire american defense in such little time. I think Capello will give Javi and Juanfran the chance this season, they are very very good players. In my mind, Becks should be getting worried seeing as how Cicinho might also fight him for that spot... let's see if Becks gets his shit together and starts delivering precious balls to RVN.
As a summary, I hope we land the signs of Mexes, Diarra and Reyes and keep either Guti or Jurado in this team so we can finally have the necessary depth. Capello's got to realize that a good 17-18 men squad is not enough if he pretends to fight for all competitions, we need a full and solid 24 men squad all capable of playing as starters any time.
