make that 84 all out. I feel a bit better knowing we got over 100.

lol
sorry ian! every time england look like they are in a strong position and can do something they lose it....tonight they are cruising only 3 down, both batsmen at the crease in good touch, ian chappell says at this stage you don't want to get distracted, you start thinking about how long to go to the end of the day, and guess what happens as soon as he says that.. 2 quick wickets to mcgrath and we have all day tomorrow to take 5 more for the win
i think we might have the ashes wrapped up pretty soon...

we're in stupid positions for reasons. Our bowling coach from the last ashes is now yours. why? because we wouldn't give him a longer contract than 12 months. the ECB are twats, we should've been asking him "how long do you want and how much" and done whatever it took to keep him. Now we're paying

I've said it god knows how many times before, but Symonds is not a test player. He could take all 5 wickets tomorrow but I'll stand by that opinion.
Yeah, the ECB are not doing themselves any favours with their coaching appointments (Fletcher, Cooley) and their selection methods.
Good on Cook, good innings. Only 21 and already with 4 test centuries, you'd have to say he's gonna be really really good.

Choose a santa hat. Choose your presents. Choose gift vouchers and matching cards. Choose photos with a fat guy in a three piece suit suit on hire purchase in a shopping mall. Choose eggnog and wondering who you are on a Boxing day morning!
Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing sprit- crushing xmas movie reruns, stuffing ham into your mouth. Choose vomiting away at the end of it all, hurling you last beer in a miserable sink, where none of the cousins have done the washing up to the selfish, younger cousins you have bought water pistols for hose up the house.
Choose your future. Choose christmas...
But why would I want to do a thing like that?

that's why I'm most disappointed. When you have people who're doing a great job, you do your utmost to keep them. Duncan is the ecb dream, he lets the idiots behind the scenes ruin things and doesn't complain like a better coach would.

I think he is very average, great fielder though. But he plays stupid shots all the time, IMHO a waste of talent because he could of been the best in the world.
Watson will take his place once he is fit, Clarke is now cemented.
Hmmmm I hope pieterson and flintof just go 'FUCK IT' and take the aussies on. Push the field back then just block the ball around for the last session.

Flintoff is a shadow of the batsman he was in 2004. Adding captaincy only adds to his problems, meaning he has less time to concentrate on what makes him good. the best players (not the best captains) raise their game when they only have playing to do.
