The Abu Dhabi track layout is stunning. I'm already thinking of plans to attend next year
Great battle between Button and Webber at the end though Button pussied out on a couple of passing moves. Surprising pace by the Red Bull cars (especially Vettel) since they had been out of engines for the past few races.
Great drive by Kobayashi! He's been a star these two races and I have high hopes for him next year.

sad to see them leave. and that leaves Kobayashi with no ride. if he doesn't sign for some other team, he will be helping out at his dad's sushi restaurant. he's out of money

Mostly the facility. The circuit itself was interesting enough, though I think the dirty off-line areas both helped and hurt the racing. It's certainly nowhere near a classic layout, but for a Tilke design, it isn't bad since most of his other circuits are also boring.
The cars got too spaced out too fast for any of the tight corners to give us any great passing action except until near the end of the race

For some reason this pullout doesn't surprise me. They were dragging their feet and dodging questions about their driver lineup so I figured something was up.
I really want to see Kobayashi in F1 next year. He was brilliant in Brasil and Abu Dhabi

Turkey isn't boring, but there isn't any atmosphere (yes, I know this isn't Tilke's fault in track design - just a comment).
Bahrain and Shanghai are meh, Sepang isn't bad. Valencia (street circuit - not Ricardo Tormo that's used for MotoGP) is neat because of the overall venue but the track layout isn't exciting.

Yep Turkey with its empty seats will be off calendar in no time, too bad cause the layout is great.
Shanghai is just atrocious, glad it will be dropped soon.
Bahrain and Sepang are not that bad, nothing too exciting though.
Tilke street circuits , nothing special, too safe for street circuits.

^ agreed.
F1 has become way too safe and sanitized anyways. It needs to be dangerous, that's the whole essence of it. Sure the cars are faster than ever, but there isn't the same fire-spitting drama anymore.
(yes, I'll still watch until the day it dies, and no I'm not advocating careless wasting of lives to satisfy my lust for voyeuristic danger , and yes, I'm working on building a time machine in my basement to go back to the "good ol' days" - damn I feel old lol)
There's a great series on ESPN Classic over here called Formula 1 Retro that covers each year of the 70's championships. It's awesome and I really hope they do an 80's one.
