We had been together 4 years since HS at that point, and long story short I wasn't into the relationship anymore. I knew I still loved him, but there was so much other shit going on in my life that it wasn't fair to remain in a partnership where he wasn't getting what he deserved from me.

Heh, we really thought nothing of it. Was totally natural. We used to get into lots of shit together, and often talked about how one day we would at least tag team somebody, lol.
