well we already know that he was in toronto last night. he did not miss his flight or lose his passport.
So unprofessional.
Last night was....well thank god for friends!!
HUGE disappointment with Sasha not showing, I was really looking forward to seeing him finally (especially with all the Knox and Cribby hype!!). We decided to stay at Guv anyways and SKETCHIEST.NIGHT.AT.GUV.EVER. Where did some of these people come from...
I still had fun. but MO definitely did NOT play his best. He really had me going for a couple of hours (I think around 2-3?) when he was playing tribally tech. But otherwise he was way too all over the place. I kept waiting for him to start playing some trance (which would have without a doubt made the night much more magical) but nope, just Need to Feel Loved (as with every set!)
Best tunage was DEFINITELY David Ace in the Gallery. You seriously rock dude, I wish you had played longer!!

personally im glad he didnt play trance and quite enjoyed the set. Considering he had to play 8 hours with 10 min notice i think he pulled it off quite nicely. I know when i have to do an 8 hour lighting show it takes a lot of physical and mental prep to do it. Standing in one spot the whole time and constantly thinking about your next move. I cant imagine what its like for a dj!

This is the second time I've gotten shafted by Sasha. Last time I even went as far as leaving my Cuba vacation early for Sasha and Digweed only to learn that his 'passport got stolen' (or was too high to perform).
Next time he's here he better show, I'm tired of hearing trance at guvernment (better yet, get him to spin at Koolhaus, im tired of all the 40+ cracked out asians in the main room, among other annoying things).

I have no idea what Mark Oliver played...but I'm assuming he didn't play trance b/c he wanted to appeal to the people who came to see Sasha, most of which likely did not want to hear trance.
