Anyway, you don't have to take my advice on this one, but I would suggest that you just leave this one be and not give her "proof". There is plenty of it out there and the only thing it will do is hurt them even more. They don't need to see it.
I only posted what she asked for.

Whether I agree with it or not, is not my place to say.

My Mother passed away unexpectedly due to Medical Malpractice 6 months ago. The Surgeon who performed her Surgery swore up and down that my Mother was a very sick Women for years. My Mother was nowhere near as sick as he said. Of course I didn't know for sure until the Forensic Pathologist confirmed it for us. I will tell you one thing, I FELT SO MUCH RELIEF AND CLOSURE to know that My Mother was never keeping her Health Conditions from us and that it was due to the Incompetence of a Surgeon that she was taken from me without notice. THAT I WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY HIS FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO FIND SOMETHING ON IT.

Again I am not disagreeing with you, I just know where they are coming from with this.

ugh. this is totally heart-wrenching for me...

i don't know if there's a heaven or what happens to us after we pass, but if there's a slight chance that there's an afterlife, and in that afterlife we have a window into the existence of the living, i hope that his presence is amongst us, anonymous though we may be, and that he is comforted by the love everyone has expressed here thus far.

may your soul rest in peace now Raul, and your suffering cease for all eternity. amen.

- Wil

Fair enough, but the fundamental difference here is that the death of your mother (sorry for your loss), was at the fault of someone else and was not something preventable by you.

If you provide his family with all the proof out there that Raul was depressed, addicted to vicodin and has been suicidal for years will only make them feel guilty, and upset with themselves for not recognizing it, helping him and preventing it.

I understand that you are just trying to do what they have asked of you, but you may also want to remember that they are all in a delicate situation. They probably don't really want to read about all the times he was unhappy.

So perhaps you should wait for a little while before you provide them "proof" and see if they mention it again later. Once the flush of emotion and upset has calmed down a little, they may forget about the "evidence" and just accept what has happened.

It seems to me that it would only do more damage than it's worth, and I say that with genuine concern for his family.

Well as much as they would like to know, I'm afraid that there really will never be real proof as to what made him snap. Like Mel mentioned he was doing sooooo much better and even looking like I had never seen him look before. As to his family and their knowledge of just how bad he really was for all these years? I really do not know just how much they were aware of.

I agree with you Theresa, if Raul didn't leave a letter explaining his reasons for it...then it was because he just wanted it that way and should be left as such!

And it should be RESPECTED AS SUCH!!!

this honestly wouldn't be a bad thing for the future, or with the new influx of mods (bas, vern etc) perhaps have a better kind of authentication before they can post? Too many people make aliases just to say things they daren't say when everyone knows it's them.
