These new tracks on FSOE is not my cup of tea at all (The Wasps, Tears in Rain, R3tronauts EP). Im sorry but they sound way too cheap and simple, no attention to detail at all like we're used to. I suppose some people appreciate that but we all know Airwave can do much better.
Personally, bring back the era of amazing tracks like Atlas Winds, Cathedrals of Hope, The Wrath of Tambora, Time is The Healer, Rain Upon My Skin and the likes.
Luckily there's still an occasional banger release on JOOF (latest being Guru Meditation/Simple Deep & Dark) - thats more like it

I am glad I am not the only one. I doubt we will see that Airwave return to be honest.
Sorry for the delay :P I hope it's longer than 3 minutes on the cd.

I'm happy Laurent started using aliases again and making tracks with different and older sounds. I always thought I was strange to stick to one sound if you're capable of doing so many.

I don't mean to hijack Airwave's thread.
It's not the 303's in fact I do like 303's like the ones used in this track below. I love the original airwave but that remix by GO is poorly made very amateurish and no soul considering his standards. It seems like he is just making random tracks/remixes just for the sake of it.

But they are missing something I can't put my finger. They don't sound iconic or have their own identity just flat and robotic tracks imo. It's missing groove like his older tracks used to have.

I remember a video of Solar Stone and Ottaviani reviewing label submissions and trashing some of the submissions..... Then he sticks his name on this shit

Must be this one? Must've been nice for the guy who sent this in hearing Rich say it's the kind of thing he'd knock together in ten minutes and never dream of releasing it.

haha yeah this is exactly what I was thinking of. I remember liking a lot of the stuff they demo'd and being surprised by their reactions.
Some of the stuff they have done in my view has been way weaker than some of the demos they were shitting on
