I don't think that it's the lack of religion that causes it. I mean, I'm not a very religious guy (I have no problem with God, only his followers) and I still hold the old-fashioned way of thinking. *shrug* |
This poses the question: why is sex really that heavy duty? Really, it is nothing more than nature's way of making us reproduce. I'll dare to claim that the emotional attachments we struggle with regarding sex nowadays is mainly due to religion's claim that sex is a gift from those who created us, and is designed for two people bonded by love. Since so many of us no longer necessarily hold this to be true, why do we still have to cling to these rules?
