Soho @ This is London
I finally have some information to pass on about this extremely exciting new night. I apologize for the delay, but you can only imagine the chaos it's been getting the club together in terms of renovations, sound upgrades and the overall integration of the underground scene with “This is London,” a more upscale venue.
Soho will be a night of atmosphere, ambiance and most of all, incredible music. The stellar beats that we've all come to expect at System Soundbar, will now have an absolutely gorgeous venue to house them. Soho has the potential to be a legendary event, known worldwide in the underground scene and we are all super pumped to be a part of this evolution of electronic dance music in Toronto.
The club will be 21+, catering to a more stylish crowd. No hats, jerseys, glow sticks or whistles and everyone must ALWAYS keep their shirts on. Jeans and running shoes are allowed, but make sure you're dressed to impress or you may find yourself on the outside looking in.
Reduced guest list is available until midnight. Management says they may extend this deadline periodically; however, I wouldn't count on it. Headliners will be on the decks by midnight at each event, so it will be well worth it to come early. We are promoting Soho as the only place you should go to on a Friday night, this is not a club that you'll be able to go to once you're finished priming at the local pub. People who arrive after list closes are not guaranteed to get into the club, and neither are those who are not on a list all together. Like it or not, you'll need to be looking good to get in.
Another way of ensuring entrance into the club is to pre-arrange bottle service. Bottle service consists of reserving a table for 8-10 and purchasing alcohol by the bottle opposed to individual drinks. Prices range from a bottom end of $160 to $230 for premium liquor and minimum purchases will be set in accordance to where the table lies within the main room. For example, the tables closest to the DJ may have a 4-5 bottle minimum where the further away tables will have a 2-3 bottle minimum. Planning your night this way will ultimately save people money if they plan on a solid night of drinking, as shots average out to be $4.50 each opposed to the $6 price at the bar.
Yes this is a crazy change from what we're used to at Breathe and the other underground nights in Toronto ; however, this format is the norm for clubs in New York , L.A. , Vegas, Chicago , Miami , and many other major cities around the world. We all think this style of venue is way overdue in our city and that's why Soho has been created.

This Friday's party is going to be massive. I've been accepting names for about a month now and the response has been nuts, maybe a little too much. M ana gement has limited all of us to a reduced list of 50; well I closed my list at 100. This creates somewhat of a dilemma. I have let the club know of my numbers and I will be sending in all the names I have received. However, I beg you all to arrive early, early, early so that you can all get in. I'm not sure what they are going to do with my excess, but if you get to the club early, I'm pretty sure you'll have no troubles getting in.
I can guarantee that it will be a $20 cover for the first 50 that arrive before midnight , after that I have no guarantees. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause on Friday and I'm praying that everything will play out smoothly.
I ask anyone who has sent a request with more than +1 beside a name to resend the request with names opposed to numbers. Because of the high demand for this night and all nights in the future, we will no longer accept names with more than a +1 beside them. We apologize but because of the strict door policy and number restrictions for our list, we need to ensure that all people on the list actually go to the club. Please don't take a spot away from somebody who really wants to come for someone who might show up.
