I also agree with that too. People express themselvs through music. If you dont like it, then dont listne to it. Just please don't complain about how trance isnt as good as it used to be. People produce what they feel and if that isnt good enough for you then stop complaining and go make your own music.
Why did you quote all that since you didn't even seem to understand what was said? You just said the same tired argument all over again.

Ok first off, you're an idiot. Second off, see first point.
now that we've got that out of the way.. again
How old are you? honestly. I have a hard time believing you're even legal to get into clubs, because if you were a regular in the club scene you'd probably know a bit more about exactly how "popular" trance is and the amount of support it gets.
Wake up and realize that just because you got Armin's new cd/radio show episode/track and love it and pump it loud and dance around your room and think it's the best ever does NOT mean that the trance scene is doing great! I'm glad for you that you haven't even been on Tranceaddict a year yet and think that Armin's Sail track is the be all end all of trance production.. but you might want to stick around a while longer before you come off as any sort of expert opinion. Maybe wait til you're legal to get into clubs and can actually come to the discussion with some perspective that extends beyond ASOT, your bedroom, and your computer.

and stfu about Scott Bond please. it was ONE time. damn. and u go all crazy over it. Tahts not even a valid point considering it was ONE show. You make it seem like the whole fucking world was supposed to be there.
You're a sharp one aren't you? Yes ALL this big discussion taking place is due to one or two times that trance shows went bad.
Oh.. and yes.. the trance nights that shut down were shutdown because they had ONE bad event where attendance was poor right! Had NOTHING to do with it being an ongoing and increasing lack of support/interest riiiiight?

And honestly I think Armin's Communication was a horrible track.
You've officially disqualified yourself from this discussion mate.
I don't like to have to be mean but you're clearly lacking in experience and perspective to be able to add anything useful to this thread. Believe it or not the purpose of this thread isn't to just sit and bitch and do nothing or act like everything's fine.
Do you know where I get my perspective from?
I've been a DJ headlining shows every year (clubs, raves, or festivals) since 1996 (first year I actually headlined anywhere). I have also promoted many raves & clubnights in that time. I know/have been friends with nearly all the other promoters in Vancouver through that time to know what is going on behind the scenes past what you see from attending their events or seeing their flyers.

Nightshift, stop making a fool of yourself. Have some humility and honesty: the lack of both do no help to anyone.
There are some decent productions here and there, but Sail is not one of them.

OK well honestly...
I don't know why this topic has even been created. Trance is not dead.
And anyone who likes 1999 more than 2006 is jsut living in the past and needs to stop arguing which is better. I am a lover of all trance from all years. It's had its ups and downs. But its still alive and ickin pretty hard.
And differnet music fits differnet lifestyles, so basically if you were to argue this, then you argue that your lifestyle is better than another persons lifestyle. Who are you to say that a person who likes 2006 trance more than 1999 trance is a dumbass because they, as a person, find it more suitable to themselves.
This topic should not even exist. Becasue it is not a question of which trance is better, or what "true trance" is. It is a question of who YOU are and what YOU like to listen to.
k thanks.

You didn't make the topic you jackass, so you don't know what it's about. It's about the overall quality and popularity of trance as a complete genre now in comparison to years gone by, and the question of whether there is a decline.
What you personally enjoy and feel has fuck all to do with it because you do not represent hundreds of producers and thousands of clubs.
You may still enjoy trance. Good for you. However, trying to reinterpret the issue to save face after you had your ass kicked comprehensively isn't going to fool anyone.

OK Nightshift.. why don't you do me and the rest of us a favor by providing this reality check you speak of. I seem to think that a reality check is something you get by going out to the events, or being in touch with all the people involved in the scene, or playing at the shows, but apparently it's you who's in touch with what's going on so fill me in on what I'm missing and where you got the clear perspe4ctive I am missing. You have mentioned not one thing to support your arguments about how trance is doing better than ever. Nothing tangible whatsoever aside from proclaiming your love for current trance and how Sail is the best track ever and nothing to actually validate what you're saying.
And I didn't just judge you from you being here since oct 2005. I judged you based on being here a short time combined with all the things you say and lack of much to substantiate it other than enthusiasm.
