yeah, i've met about 15-20 ta's myself, and have some great friends from all over the world who one day i will cross paths with & have a great time. There used to be a lot more integration outside local forums than there is now, one gkgg had over 200 ta's from worldwide if i remember.

i've met one guy who i have not contact with anymore,

I never got on well with people from my local area, we never clicked totally , i had mates, but nobody who was just like me, who shared the passion for the type of music I did. Then in 2002 i met [N]uk|eu[Z] on here, we got talking & he was into more or less what I was as I grew up. I finally met him in person in 2005, and we had a great laugh. Why limit yourself to your own 'people' in this day & age. Spyder flew over from canada to meet us all last year, it was amazing. There are so many people out there who're worth way more than ones on our doorstep. I know people who've met via forums who've even married (we have 2 or 3 ta couples of note) so why not ?
