On the other hand, you're right about one thing: they should get out of THAT scene. The PVD scene. I am such a biased person, sorry. |
yea definitely got out of there. i'd rather listen to stuff you can dance to. i've been to alot of events, not nearly all, not even a good percentage, but i get up to new york as much as possible, and i've never thought that an event was terrible. last year i thought this event was great. this year nobody seemed to have a good time if they had seen it last year or had been to armin's event.
i noticed in all the videos posted you can see how few people are actually into it. thats how it was. everybody who was fucked up was moving around ("dancing") but then most people were standing there. i had so many conversations with people about the poor track selection. i figured it was a majority opinion. but then again, i guess this whole disagreement involves like 15 people, so maybe it still is.
i try not to care whether my opinion is even near correct, but i just still can't imagine why somebody wouldn't think that the show was subpar.
but to be fair, his set may have gotten better towards the end, because when darkness rolled around, i rolled out shortly thereafter and was standing outside, not really giving a shit about the event anymore, just with a bunch of ppl who were outside. they were dancing, i was sitting with a few of them. i just never got that urge to get up, he played nothing that made me have a great time. maybe i'm too needy. i'll just stick to events where i'm assured a fun time. see you at crobar in october!
