Ooops, posted in the wrong thread before. Hee hee.
Here is my review.
I think the best call of the night was to get to D'luxe Lounge and stay there. Good call lil'G.
Got there pretty early. Parked the car in valet. Got in pretty fast in the ticket holders line. Immediately ran into 50 TAs at the enterance of the Kool Haus. Said a couple hellos and went on our way to the Main Room. It was so amazingly comfortable in there from beginning to end, I couldn't believe it. The only problem we encoutered was the mad pushing to get upstairs to The Drink, D'Luxe Lounge and Skybar which was so strange because there was plenty of room everywhere but I guess people have to panic for some reason.
Brad had a great opening set (I didn't notice that he was on for longer especially since Luke Fair was down on the dance floor the whole time). Rave on Bradley, rave on!
Listened to a about 45 of Luke who also was building it up very nicely. I just wish the lights weren't so crazy in Guv because it really takes away from the progressive atmosphere.
Went upstairs to Skybar to say hello to Mr. Barato and had to walk through The Drink. WHAT A MAD HOUSE! But really great to see people seriously partying it up. Had a nice relaxing time up in Skybar with Justin and Shelley. Music was great as always from Nathan.
Then we wanted to head back to Guv but to our dismay we had to travel all the way through the Kool Haus to get there. What an adventure that was. I mean, I am pretty used to large crowd parties so I really didn't mind the craziness. Got to get a few photos of Armin. Say hello to some more TAs and then off to Guv again for Hernan. We immediately went straight for the D'Luxe Lounge and hung out there in my trusty self made VIP booth (LOL!). Where we listened to some of the best tunes of the night. I couldn't believe I wasn't excited to see Hernan. He was good. Real good, especially the last 30 minutes. God was is the name of that freaky song, the one from Digweed's WMC Pawnshop set? What a fucking tune on the large sound system.
For Digweed, I was happy with his set. It's always a pleasure to see him develop something over the course of his playing. I enjoyed his last year set slightly more, but not to say I hated this one. Just wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it was nice. Wasn't scary at all like I thought it might be. I really just think the Guv is too bright for the likes of Digweed. Turn off the lights people. Again I saw John fixing the equipment to make sure everything was perfect. A true professional. I wanted to spend the end of the night in the trance room so as soon as Benny Benassi came on and slowed everything right down.
Went into the trance room and the party was really a completely different vibe in there. People are crazy! I loved it. I really miss the trance from long ago. The melodies are just not there anymore but nonetheless there was so many TAs that were having so much fun. It was great to see.
All and all, this was a very successful LoL for me. In terms of music and comfort level. Everything worked out perfectly and I was happy I went. Nothing to complain about.
