So anybody have first hand knowledge or info from somebody that's seen the beaches in Ibiza ? How affected were the Talamanca and Figueretas beaches ? Of course I read the news report, but that doesn't really give me the full 411.
Still tring to decide on the hotel.

i spent nearly every single day on the beach, took a nap in the evenings, dinner late then clubbing. if you truly want to see beautiful beaches, you need to rent a car, which you can do for about 30 Euros/day. you also need to buy a good map that tells you where there are beaches you can go to. you can get these at any convenience store on the island. hint: dont even go to any beaches in or in the near vicinity of san antonio..

(i would post the pic but the names of the beaches are black so they are camouflaged with the black TA background
cala d'albarca is my FAVE, north of the island (all boulders, you have to walk 45 minutes down a rock path on the side of a cliff to reach the beach.. WORTH IT!!!)
cala san vicente
la salinas
sa caleta
cala vadella
cala d'hort
^ just some of the places we went. each beach is so different (some are sand, others pebbles, other boulders) some have shops, some are secluded, some are nude, some are topless, some have lounge chairs, some have jelly fish, etc etc.
happy trails!!
