This is the way good haiku are supposed to be, the three lines are three seperate (non?)sentences with different subjects and objects, the link between them is indirect and thematic, or even vague and may not be immediately apparent, requiring a little thought to uncover. Thus you can achieve maximal expression in a minimum amount of words... this formal minimalism is, IMHO the essence of haiku
