marketing! all the top djs have a team/agency to do this. plus melodramatic pop stuff sells! and im sure holden doesnt care, he just wants to play good music!

you never seen pvd behind the decks and setup. if you did im sure you'd appreciate it. and the whole glass and glowstick thing at least at 1015 is because the booth is so close to the crowd, you can pretty much unplug one of the cables from the mixer/laptops/midi controllers and he has had stuff thrown at him before.

also tiesto was playing a pretty good set last time at POP and his tag team with Ferry was nuts! of course i wouldnt put either in my top 10

I've seen PvD 3 times and he's never behaved like this. Given, he may not be Peter Hook behind the decks but he's there to play music, nothing more, nothing less. I really find it stupid when people cry about going to a party and the DJ not smiling at them. Very moronic if you ask me.

Technical is they key word here. Technical means mixing, phrasing, eq-ing, using effects, loops, etc. Pretty much anything BUT track selection.

god forbid a "dj" knows the basics.
