Overall a great set & great night. Place was definitely full, but not overly packed. The temperature was nice throughout the terrace, unless you were in the middle of the floor, where it was a bit overpacked. Getting in through willcall was a breeze @ 12. Yet they did have the main line so close to the willcall/ticket line that I could see some people (like out-of-towners) getting into that line and waiting unnecessarily. Also must mention what a nice vibe & crowd there was at this show. Definitely a much more diverse, different & better crowd than usually shows up to Space IMO. Saw a bunch of TAs, all loving it as much as I was, and it was nice hanging for a bit. And before I forget, BDR we all want to see the video of you and the ghetto smurf
On to the music. Markus brought his A-game and dominated Space last night. All I can say is PV-WHO???? Fuck that shit, make Markus a resident now. His 4 hour set progressed nicely. He started a bit slow, but quickly turned up the energy, caught his stride & tore a hole in the roof with a shitload of tech-trance bangers & good stuff in the first 2 hours. He did bring the tempo down a bit for some of the 3rd hour, but proceeded to bring it back up and definitely finished strong. While the set's foundation was in tech-trance, it also had a good amount of dark melodic trance, some high energy stuff, the hits he is known for playing, just a few vocals to keep the chicks happy, and some nice reworks of classics thrown in for good measure. They included Cosmic Gate - Fire Wire (CG's back to the future remix), Push - Universal Nation (ID remix), Rank 1 - Breathing (Schulz's Coldharbour Remix), and some remix of Sweet Dreams with the most incredible techy breakdown ...
