we have it cos of the el nino. the knock on effect here is mild but wet, although it comes in big periods, so we'll have rain for like 7-10-14 days then none for 3 weeks. Typical that it's meant to be the 1st test match of the summer today between England & the West Indies. doubt we'll get much in for a couple of days at least

You focker Ian You tell me you get 7-ish days of rain, and then OMG NO RAIN FOR 3 WEEKS!
I never thought I would be jealous of England's weather.
Ever.

I'm just going to sit here & feel good for a bit It's rained non-stop since last thursday now though, so I'm kinda ready for a prolonged spell of drier weather so I can get back out & finish the work

Lol, I am envious. I almost forget what rain sounds like
We're supposed to get some rain tomorrow. Of course, I'm relying on weather forecasters for this info. People like Tubularbills.
Filthy liars!

funnily enough, April was REALLY dry here. We had about 25 dry days in the month, and the cricket scores were huge, At Somerset, Langer/Cam White's team scored over 800 in the 1st county match and my side Derbyshire scored 800 odd declared against them, and they still got 500 and had to follow on. Only since May began has the crappy weather come. Looks like the match at Lords is on though as WI have won the toss & will bowl, which is not surprising as it's very green & should move a lot. Unfortunately i'm off out for the day so will have to rely on the old grumpy bastard on bbc radio when we're in the car.

After 20 overs of the current Test, England 81/0
"Here's how England fared in their first 20 overs of each World Cup match. 70 for 3, 101 for 1 (against Canada), 119 for 2 (against Kenya), 85 for 2, 84 for 2, 101 for 2 (against Australia), 68 for 2, 64 for 3, 122 for 2 (against West Indies). Proof, it would seem that they were indeed batting at a Test-match tempo throughout, only less successfully."

christopher hitchens is my new hero
not cause he's smart and hates on religion, but because he hates on liberals and conservatives equally
even though his views on religion coincide with mine, I still find him to be an arrogant ass who annoys the hell out of me. The guy is so full of himself it's not funny. He often is given to exaggerating the facts or presenting them in such a way that creates controversy. Thats why Fox loves him.
btw, look at how many times he blinks his eyes. he out does Hillary

It's not. HE's actually one of my good friends from high school, he's actually the one who set me up with my HS boyfriend. He's just incredibly awesome, but he has a girlfriend which blows but I know her and she's awesome so it's ok!
