Why don't you indulge me in explaining WHY Armin is so horrible as a DJ that I should be sentenced to death for voting for him and showing my support of his career?

OK,

In my opinion Armin has verry good beatmatching skills, and it seems like he phase matches well. But thats the same as just about every other semi good dj that i have ever heard. A&b B&J JG...In my opinion just being able to beatmatch is not good enough. Ive heard tons of live sets. I Boundaries of Imagination is a fuckin great cd. But its not really the mixing that has my attention there, its the tracklisting. Being great live, doesnt mean jumping all over the place is a bonus. I understand that he loves the music and loves the fans. But today he does not have anything that seperates him from the hundreds of other djs that has his style. All the people that go look for tracks he just put out on armind. In my opinion not to many of thoes tracks have a special touch like wow. Armin used to play stuff like circia forever, affinity, solarcoaster. Thoes are special tracks. Stuff like jump the next train is bleh, compaired to them.
Armin's mixing also for sum reason just lacks "energy and power." In a lot of cases it seems dull. Instead of going from 1 track, then using mixing, and effects to lead, and build, or lower the enegy to the next track, he doesnt. It seems mellow and just boring. Just another 1:1000000000000 beatmating jobs. It may flow, but its just un eventful. Ive never said holy shit how did he do that 1. Tiesto's mixing is awkward to. Maby because its a bit rushed. But he seems to do a solid job of bringing a huge amount of energy to his next track. For example listen to energy 99. His matching actually blows, but the energy is unreal, and it makes it work.

i dont think that was his reason. do you think i say he has bad mixing skills because i have momu as my avatar. come up with someone better than that man. am i automatically just saying i dont like it because i think he plays commercial stuff. no, its because if i listen to his set, that is what i think

I'm not going to sit here and argue with you because that is exactly what Markus Schulz posted a topic about, all this insane and stupid back and forth arguing that [dj X] is better than [dj y] because of [?].

Lets just agree to disagree, as we should all. There is no point of all of this b/c all of our opinions are different.

I have many top DJ lists and they go from "My Fav. Skilled DJ" to "My Fav. Entertainer DJ" and Armin is on my Entertainer list b\c of the obvious reasons. Am I saying he's the best? No, I'm just saying I think he's more entertaining than other certain DJ's.

In terms of popularity, which this Poll is based off of I just find it rather odd that PvD made it above AvB because PvD hasn't made any noise this year what-so-ever. Armin has created a lot of attention with ASOT and his 2 mix comps he's put out this year. That beind said, I congradulate PvD for remaining 2nd most popular in spite of how well marketed other DJ's on the list were this year. I guess that goes to say something about PvD and his fan base.

But PvD isn't my cup of tea (except for his "PoD" Cd), but I still respect him and his career.

I find it funny how people bashed each other for giving the 'fake' list before the list's been 'released' like 8hours ago, not knowing that it's actually the results. HAHAHA.... SHOCKER!

I didnt vote for djmag.
Top 3 still the same zzz.
Why is Tiesto still there? Let me feels that the fan base of tiesto is so big n 1337 that it's reached this so high level of popularity and idolism (is that the right worD).

Sucks.

lol you definately misunderstood what markus said.

Did i say armin sucks because PVD is better? Or did i give you reasons why i feel armin is not that great.

Would Brooke Burke be your #1 entertainer dj if she striped on tables infront of you?

Its not about the actual music, its about the feel. about going from 1 track to another. And armin doesnt have the feel.

In terms of popularity, which this Poll is based off of I just find
now in terms of popularity, which i couldnt care for. Since you say Armin has created more popularity then paul because he "loves his fans,",ASOT and put out to mix comps.(pul put out an artist album and mix comp but thats besides the point.)

But when you state Armin put out 1000 more cds then paul, he has a more popular --->radio<--- show means armin has done more. Do something for me. Is that really djing? Or is Djing their ability to play in a club? Maby you should take into account where Armin has played this year, and where paul has. Maby you should realize that Paul does play to 1 million people at love parade yearly. You think thoes people could care if armin is jumping up and down in a booth?

but maby its the fact that paul is just better?
