The only thing that made B&J bearable was the people I was with (Christen and Heather thanks for a great time ). I was behind the DJ booth most of the night, and I'm not exagerrating when I say that they were getting in a jesus pose every 2 minutes on average and a "twinkly fingers" every 3 minuts. I think I officially gave up any hope when I heard "Nightfly" played towards the end of the night.
Oh yeah, the mixing sucked bad. I suck at mixing and even I could easily notice the crappy beatmatching which they attempted to mask by pushing the volume levels way into the red and dropping off the bass (I only know this because I occassionally have done this with varying degrees of success). They used a combination of Traktor and CDJ's (and I think they might have actually used a vinyl turntable once or twice.)
As for me sounding like crap - i got home around 10 am on sunday (I know, i'm getting old) and just ate a big bowl of chicken soup, popped 4 tylenol cold & flu pills, chugged down half a bottle of nyquil, ate half a loaf of onion bread, 2 centrum vitamins and washed it all down with a 2 liter of fanta and passed out for the next 14 hours. i woke up and my voice sounded angelic (well not really, but hell of a lot better than it did)
then i sat around in my underwear and played final fantasy 3 on my laptop. then i passed out again and went to a job interview this morning - which i'm pretty sure i nailed the job despite sounding hoarse and just looking like general shit. so now i have 2 jobs to pick from.
