Sweden 2 Czech Republic 1

Really great first period, a lot of good chances and Sweden is playing really nice. Sundin, Modin, Kronwall and Forsberg was stunning the first period.

Also, that goal was pretty lucky even though Lundqvist should've taken it

Sweden vs. Czech Republic:

Sweden started out stunning and scored the first goal of the game after only 30 seconds or something. The Czech's replied very fast though, and 1-1 was a fact after less than 4 minutes.

Czech Republic started playing faster and better than Sweden for a period in the 1st. They had a lot of great chances to score a goal and take the lead. But insted, Sweden started playing better than the Czech's for a period and after a while, we scored 2-1.

The second period started and we started playing more effective and we scored a early goal in the second too. The upcoming minutes was going to be very important for Sweden who scored 3 goals on that short time and they increased the lead from 2-1 to 5-1.

I think many viewers thought that this would end up pretty easily in a Swedish win. But this actually reminded me of when Sweden was losing to the fins with 5-1 and won in the end with 6-5 after a stunning comeback.

Sweden got two penaltys and suddenly the Czech's got a 5 on 3 oppurtunity. They scored and 5-2 was a fact. Now they had 5 on 4 and still powerplay, They scored once again and 5-3 came. Later on Daniel Tjärnqvist got a 2+2 penalty and Sweden was forced to play 4 on 5 for 4 minutes.

The Czech's started playing well and the Swedes to defend, but it all ended with the same result, 5-3 to Sweden.

The game was lost for the Czech's afteer a this, that's at least the my opinion. Sweden played well and managed to score 6-3 and the game was pretty much dead.

Later on in the 3rd period, Detroit's Thomas Holmström scored a goal and 7-3 was a fact and the final result.

Sweden to final against either Russia or Finland.

I suspect many swedes want to meet the fins..

What a sweet revenge game for Sweden.

I heard on the radio that out of the 9 million Swedes an estimated 3 million were watching the game.
