gotta say not that bad of an album

i was expecting much worse.

This same thing happened with In My Memory and Just Be. Elements of Life has sounds for every taste. You can see that by just reading the reviews around here. At least a couple of tunes seem to be decent in every review. Each person has one or two satisfactory tunes, although nobody consider the whole album is great. Well that is something that never happens with an artist album, so the usual bashing is something we saw coming.

Elements of Life will be a success for Tiesto career because it is headed for different EDM markets. It has vocal songs like Sweet Things and In The Dark, which by the way is the right choice for his next single; we'll see it raped on MTV and every single radio station for the next few months. But it also has 100% trance tracks like Bright Morningstar and Ten Seconds before Sunrise, which can be heard at a club with no problem.

In my opinion, Driving to Heaven is the finest tune on the album. It reminds me of that “magik” feeling from the good old times, what a masterpiece. The only 9/10, lets just hope for a full release.

I understand why Pirates and D4L are included in the album, well not everybody is a tranceaddict who has already heard the tune.
What I don't understand is the fact that a great tune like Magikal Circus was left out.

Overall good job for what Tiesto has accomplished, this work will surely maintain him at the top 3 spot or even higher.

So for those of us that don't participate in p2p or bit torrent, etc., when do we see a U.S. release date so we can "officially review" the new material?

April 10 I believe.

I'm listening the album for 2 days now (not full days because of work ) and yesterday it was a bit like nah.... But today while listening the full album without skipping through the tracks i must say I really like this album. Its an album in a way an album has to be for me (besides D4L, carpe noctum). To listen to. When i'm listening an album at home i don't want banging hard tracks between the softer and more emotional tracks. What i'm hearing is a nice selection of some sort of chillout tracks. Ten seconds before sunrise reminds me to the old magik days, which a very good thing.
Brigth morningstar i already knew from a setrip and i already felt in love with it, a very "warm" track. I'm sure when i hear this in a club i'll get some pleasant shivers.. (fuck whats the word for "kippenvel"??????)
Sweet things is like someone said before most likely a single form the album, a bit of a pity because we'll be smashed to dead by this song by that time. Really like it.
These 3 tracks are standings out of the rest of the tracks..

Don't really feel carpe noctum, but maybe that will come. I'm liking love comes again and allure - the loves we lost just since a few weeks sooooo

By the way, the first single "in the dark" is also pretty nice, bit happy sounds at teh start but especially after the break (or incl the break) its get pretty nice. Also the lyrics are very catchy without being uttercheese imo.

driving to heaven is pure gold imo probly the best track on the album and ten seconds to sunrise is good also but driving to heaven takes the cake and pie.
