I agree with the comments made about our staff. We haven't been that great and it's way too early. Also, I don't know where we're going to get hits at the bottom of the order. Pedroia looks lost at the plate, Coco (including the triple last night) is about 1-1000 with RISP and Tek, though I think he'll be fine, has lost a step.

But, although it's early, the Yanks are having a very tough time coming up with outs in the 5th-8th innings and your starting pitching is average, at best.

That said, I sense a sweep.

I was at opening day '05 when he got a standing O when he was announced in the line up as a dig from the fans. His response of a giant smile and raise of the cap was the BEST! It pissed me off to see folks giving him a standing O yesterday because it takes away from a cool baseball moment.

I don't think so. He's just not hitting well and that's compounded by his outfield play, which (though he plays the monster well) has always looked lackluster. Manny's too good of a hitter, his numbers will definitely be there at the end of the season. Don't forget that he started off very slow last season as well and caught fire right around June.
