I wasn't specifically addressing my post to you, first of all. In any case...
I didn't say I thought they would use them, but giving them that bargaining chip is beyond dangerous. I also am not convinced that he's not suicidal, if that means taking Israel down with him.
I didn't accuse anyone in particular of being anti-semitic, but many of those people you mentioned, who do not think Israel should exist, are, in fact, extremely anti-semitic. Not all, perhaps, but an overwhelming majority. I'm not denying that that's a huge group of people. It is, indeed, a very large segment of the world population. Numbers have never made any case, and I can't even begin to describe how strongly I disagree with those people who have that stance.
Finally, you cannot be 100% sure of that fact, and that's a HUGE risk to take if you're wrong.
The bottom line is, though, that this is all fairly irrelevant to this specific discussion since everyone aside from the OP who, while he may be on the right track with some of his points, is just as emotionally unreasonable and fanatical as everybody else. We can't and shouldn't attack Iran right now--plain and simple. It's a non-issue. |
You've made some good points, but IMHO, nukes are an obsolete technology. Also, at this point, I really see no reason to be alarmed to the point where an invasion should even be considered.
As far as Israel is concerned - I totally support it's existence, but I don't agree with a number of their policies. IMO, Ariel Sharon was a much better PM then the current guy.
