Am I the only person who isn't into Kate wax? Her music is not a good representation of border community at all.

People living on nostalgia. He's done so little over the years. Either that or he's so uber underground nothing he's done is known.

He's done a lot. You're just into more commercial stuff.

like?

And what makes you think I'm more "commercial"

seriously?

Yeah, I might like some tracks that are popular in the scene, but I don't listen to radio shows, mixes, etc unless I hear about it word-of-mouth and thats rare. Otherwise, I find what i like on my own and have for years now. Some of what I like is just popular, most of it are tracks that I don't think are well known. It's also why I'm surprise how good or bad (usually bad) so many new DJs that are blwoing up are these days , because I go into them not hearing any mixes from them before like I'd used to -- I don't know what to expect. Tell me, where is this commercialism in this?

nostalgia, example please? have you even checked out the last half dozen links in this thread? theyre all recent. little over the years? he's playing all the major euro/canuck festivals (and even amnesia, for those who rank ibiza so high). his dj kicks is awesome! latest (2010+) avus, margot, abbott, fairly and wax on bc have all been amazingly great!

He has done a lot...

It's like someone saying Pink Floyd hasn't done much lately but people are still living on nostalgia.

He is still influential and really thought outside of the box back then when not many didn't. His tracks aren't disposable.

In my generation, to me he is a grandfather of IDM and his capabilities and accomplishments still hold merit.
