The thing is, we are all insane. New government won't change anything because the people were still raised and educated by the same system that lead us where we are now. Blaming all those evil politicians and banksters, all that finger-pointing... it's part of the madness. We need to realize that those people aren't any different from us, they are us and what they're doing is simply acting out our collective insanity.

The change must come from within.

Corral our elders into flashy buffets and use slot machines to steal all of their money.

And it won't happen until the shit hits the fan and people start feeling the pain. We are past the point of no return now. 10-15% annual inflation is on the horizon...It's already baked into the cake. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

You continue to insist on attacking what you believe is my opinion on whether this should be done or not instead of discussing the point that I made.

You've made it pretty clear you think inflation is the end of Western civilization, so don't even try to pretend that your arguments don't lead to that conclusion. You obviously are one of those "End the Fed" supporters, so if that isn't your opinion, then duly clarify what your opinion is. Otherwise, when you state, "I start with saying that creating more money then you had before devalues the money that was in circulation prior to the new money made." You obviously mean it in a NEGATIVE context.

And another thing I'd like to point out is your complete disregard for definitions of words. You make it seem like using words loosely in a debate such as this doesn't matter, when it absolutely does. If we can't agree on the definition of something (let us say inflation or deflation) then the debate can't go any further until that is understood. But this is why these types of conversations go off the deep end with yourself and pkc because, for some reason, the two of you don't think understanding the words that you use means a damn.

Disregard for definitions of words? Where?

And you're point is? Simply stating an observation is hardly an argument.

No. The last 30 years have seen the largest expansion of the global economy ever in human history. Hundreds of millions have been brought out of poverty. And you want us to think no government or central bank can manage a money supply? The results speak for themselves.

The Federal Reserve system is 100% political. That is how it came into being. So by your own admission, the system will always lead to massive deficits and epic inflation, which is absolutely correct and of course proven with our very own deficits and inflation. So we agree!

The Federal Reserve system is 100% political?? Explain yourself.

Like I said, my opinion on whether it is "good" or "bad" is irrelevant to the point I made. The fact that you continue to bring up what you think my beliefs are in regards to the politics of it all clearly shows you don't have an understanding for the VERY simple point I was making. You'd much rather have an argument instead of a discussion though, so whatever.

You are not making a point. It's like telling me, "It's hot today." Ok, what's your point? That it's hot? That's nothing but an observation. Let's hear your point.

My point was made when I quoted pkc. Go back and read it.
