i was there this saturday... i dont wanna shit on their parade but it was unbereable. me and few of my 30+ years old friends walked out after 5 min feeling like dinosauruses lol. it was this huge, sweaty, stupid glasses wearing mess.

but, to be completey fair, we went to starlight right after and it was literally the same. starlight has been a hidden gem for us in the past few years and it was my first time seeing that crowd in there. so im thinking maybe students came back or something.

school is back in so I would expect you will continue to see the 19 - 23 year old group of new partiers out every weekend.

To be perfectly honest I saw that kinda crowd to (Its also frost week), but I think because its now the "new" club again and frost week you'll continue to see this for a month or two, than we'll have an established crowd. Not to mention students think 7$ Cover and 4.50 drinks are expensive... good clubs not for you than.

You do realize that Beta is in Waterloo right, walking distance to 2 Universities and Conestoga campus, are you surprised ?
There hasn’t been EDM club in the region for what the last decade, so who do you think is going to be at the club in a University town.

I was there on sat as well, the crowd was young yes but finally legal. Music was a little trancy for my liking but I had a good time.

Things to mention COATCHECK is still a clusterf*ck and never has room. I also hope Beta stays open longer in the future i.e. 4-5 am.
