I'm curious about it.

I'm loving it a lot! I keep thinking I'm on Tatooine as I read it, it's got that sort of feeling to it. It's futuristic, but not spacey...if that makes sense. At any rate, it's a wicked book! Like all books I fall in love with, I almost don't want to finish it, just so I can keep reading it, lol.

Hehe yeah, well I'll see how this one pans out. I haven't heard great things about the sequels...but then I've never been the type to heed what other people say.

I have so many other books on my "to read" list....I had actually just started two before I picked this one up, lol.

Know the feeling... about having so many other books on your "to read" list... you have no idea how long mine is... HUGE!!

Plus I read fantasy series right, so each series = l like usually atleast 3 books, some 4 or 5, or 10+...

I'm in the middle of many many series... Just polished off the third book in another one last weeekend...

Wanna get the next 4th one... but wasnt in the Chapters at Barrie FUCK BARRIE GET WITH IT!

Reading a vampire one right now... BRUTAL HORRIBLE WRITING... I cringe as I read half the pages... worst writing ive read in a while.... but gonna tough it out, bc I'm mainly reading hte novel bc i love vampires and wanna get ideas for the story I'm writing... and this chick's take on vampires is pretty similar to mine... which i like... just like meta-humans... but not necessarily evil, just different and more powerful... all the vampires in this novel are basically good, save for the ones that are pledged to thsi one vampire lord, these vampires view humans as cattle... the rest live peacefully with them...

anywyasy, book sucks bad, but i like the vampire details.

makes me really wanna put it down though and begin the 4th in the otehr series... AMAZING fucking writting... a truly phenominal writer is something to appreciate. much like good techno

Yeah dude...see, I won't finish a book if it sucks or the writing is unappealing. I got halfway through Eco's Baudolino and had to put it down because all the egotistical hot-air it was filled with was obnoxious as fuck. For the first bit it reminded me of the over-exaggerated tales of Baron Munchausen, but yeah...then it was just overkill and annoying. Buh bye.

Damn fine flick! I think this one is the best yet.

Filmed in a "handheld" style, might need the airsick bag

No no I gotcha jenny... I find this novel's writing very obnoxious as fuck as well... like its trying to hard... there has been one sex scene already and it just seem SO OUT OF PLACE... man, and too much describing how damp and wet the chick was getting... just seemed too lame (and its not like I'm a person to be all offended and think that the book was too 'racy' or 'explicit'... my objection to this sexual shit and the detailed attractions the characters are having for eachother in this book how it just seems thrown in, just seems so fake, unnatural, and like its trying to hard to include sex and make it as descriptive as possible...) ugh

and the book is moving too fast, before it develops its 3 main characters fully or really to any good extent at all... i dont feel like im reading about characters that i know or care about.

AND.. my biggest pet peeve, and its only bc im a nazi for stuff like this... the words it Capitalizes... !!!

Fucking... it capitalizes Vampire... Ghost, Werewolf? WHY!?! And, oh, well if u capitalize Vampire, then we better capitalize Human too to be consistent!! (i agree w/ the consistency tho)... but GOD it hurts to read.... It really actually bothers me... I just think "amatureness" in the choice to capitalize those words.

I dunno... as i said, i wanna drop it, but my desire to continue to see how she fleshes out and describes her vampire traits, actions, etc are the reason im reading it at all... its like a project i guess for me... bc im certainly not getting much pleasure out of it

I was outside MSNing with K@tie, sitting comfortably on my hammock, enjoying the warm weather and it started to pour on my laptop, and rushed back in.

now what?
