I have argued about this with another TA. I just think it is so disrepectful to lie like that. Although he did say that anyone in that situation would do what they could to save their own life. I think he has a point there.
meh. why is it disrespectful? and even if it is, i really dont see it being an issue. perhaps if australia's muslims were as concerned with fundamentalism and extremism as they were with what one girl happened to wear then everyone would be happier
if she played the system and won, more power to her. she shouldnt have been locked up in the first place.
so what- we have freedom of religion but only when it suits certain people? people should mind their own business and concentrate on how they themselves practice their faith. fvcking religious adherents spent too much of their fvcking time telling others what to do.

I am not saying I disagree. It is my opinion that if she is not a muslim she should be posing as one. But I wasnt in her position and I guess I would have done whatever it took.
I am sure there are a lot of Australian muslims who are concerned about extremists but I wouldnt know as I haven't asked them all

religion is just an idea. people misrepresent themselves with/thru various ideas all the time. i dont see why extra-special respect should be paid to religion over all other ideas. religos are always 'respect my faith respect my faith' but woe if theyre ever required to do the same.
dirty bogan scum dress up in their 1 and only suit when theyre in court. i dont see the difference tbh.

hehe, my statement was a lot more tongue-in-cheek than serious
but, since this is the hate thread: i hate religion. i think its stupid, and generally for stupid people. i bet theres a direct correlation between your level of religious belief and degree of mental retardation

I hate it when people suddenly change their attitude and behaviour towards someone just because that person turns out to be attractive
