Firstly, you dont have to be darker to be dominican. I know a shitload of white dominicans from the island itself.....i used to live there, actually, for 3 years. So yeah, dont think a color can truly characterize what a person is. These days, color is slowly becoming an underlying factor whereas cultural practices is what defines a person.
